Here is a pic of Mortal Kombat's Goro character as he actually appears in real life when they were making the first MK game.

Thanks go to GIANTBOMB.com for the awesome look into how teeny tiny he is!

Tying up loose ends.

I have had an ever growing pile of unplayed games begging to be started or finished up since about 2007.
One game I know I will not finish is Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2. The whole way the game is set up to unlock people and upgrade/level-up is abso-frickin ridiculous.
It's nothing but lame grinding that even I couldn't stand, just to be able to get past a single level. Playing the same damn map over and over on a LOW difficulty level just to be able to stand a chance later on is stupid. I can understand fighting enemies in an rpg to do that, but this is an action game. I'm done with it. :/

I rambled, my bad! But yeah, finishing up Half-Life Episode 2 today. Great addition to the series by the way. Played Episode 1 the day before and beat it pretty quickly. I definitely want to see where they are going with the story. Stuff that happened in Half-Life 2 proper story wise is finally being addressed. Now that I'll have them done, I can wait for Episode 3 when it comes out in 2020. C'mon Valve, get your acts together and put these episodic games out in a reasonable time frame. It shouldn't take this long!

After I'm done with that, I'm going to dig into Valkyria Chronicles for PS3 and Infinite Undiscovery on the 360. I also need to finish up playing Super Robot Taisen K for the DS. I'm surprised I haven't finished it already to tell the truth, I'm about halfway through and just stopped for some reason. It wasn't that I got bored with it though. I guess I just got distracted. Then once those are finished up, I'm going to attempt to crack open some PS2 goodness in JRPG form. I have Persona 3, Persona 4, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Baroque, Ar Tonelico 2, and Okami yet to be played, MOCKING ME.

Wish me luck. *fits pilot goggles on*

Serenity bar fight rehearsal

I like the firefly universe. I'm not exactly what you'd call a "browncoat", but I am a fan. This is a rehearsal video of the bar fight scene from Serenity. You don't have to be a fan; however to enjoy good old fashioned ass kicking.

ALL HAIL TERRA!

The Flag of Earth symbolizes the Earth (the center blue disk), the Sun (the yellow disk on the left), and the Moon (the white disk on the right). The Earth and its most important celestial neighbors - the Sun and Moon - are overlaid on a backdrop of the darkness of space.

The Flag of Earth website is administered by NAAPO - the North American Astrophysical Observatory. NAAPO is a not-for-profit organization formed to run the Big Ear Radio Observatory in Delaware, Ohio, and which now runs the Ohio Argus Array.

Megatron causes 3-hour standoff in Canada

“There will be a search of the premises and hopefully we’ll come up with whatever it is that he was waving out the window at his neighbours.”

But the man’s friends accused police of overreacting, and said his supposed handgun was a toy.

“It’s a Transformer,” said William Findley, 24. “It turns into a Luger. It’s an 80s-style Transformer... He’s had a really bad day. People are treating him like crap.”

That's right, Megatron terrorized Canada.

GAMES GAMES GAMES x3

So the Electronic Entertainment Expo is going on this week. Lots of cool stuff.

Here are some notable games for each system:

Wii: Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Brothers Wii, New Metroid game by the Ninja Gaiden guys (Team Ninja).

PS3: More God of War 3 goodness, a new game by the people that did Shadow of the Colossus and ICO (looks like you get a giant Falcor-like companion in the game), Uncharted 2.

360: Mass Effect 2, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Brutal Legend, Beatles Rock Band, and Alan Wake.

There were a lot of others, but these stood out in my mind.

I get most of my news about games from Giantbomb and Kotaku, check 'em out!

"Welcome to the altered state of Druggachusettes!”

Great article from the Onion AV Club with clips as proof. Covers the obvious like Teletubbies and H.R. Puffenstuff to forgotten favorites like Gumby and The Electric Company.
